Since October 2025, a persistent underground gas leak in Bille Town, Rivers State, has contaminated water supplies, disrupted schooling and fishing, and exposed thousands of residents to severe fire and health hazards. Based on field observations and local testimonies, this report details the unfolding environmental and public health crisis and what must be done to save the community.
