The Corporate Accountability and Public Participation Africa held a two-day virtual Journalism Training on Climate Change Reporting in Africa on April 28 and 29, 2021. The training which had journalists from Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Uganda, Kenya, Zimbabwe and South Africa had resource persons from across the globe.
The Resource persons were Nnimmo Bassey (Director of Health of Mother Earth Foundation), Rachel Rose Jackson (Director, Climate Research and Policy, Corporate Accountability) and Philip Jakpor (Director of Programmes, Corporate Accountability & Public Participation Africa).
Also, Hellen Neima (Regional Director, Corporate Accountability Climate Campaign), Jesse Bragg (Media Director, Corporate Accountability) Ndivile Mokoena (Gendercc South Africa – Women in Climate Justice) and Aderonke Ige
(Associate Director, Corporate Accountability) delivered educative sessions during the training.
At the end of the training the journalists agreed to form a network of journalists reporting climate change to continue engaging.
