Humphrey Ukeaja is a distinguished professional and academic with extensive expertise in comparative politics, political economy, and development studies, specializing in strategic interventions for vulnerable groups. His academic foundation includes Master of Science in Political Economy and Development Studies from the University of Abuja, where he also served as a Research Fellow and Assistant.
Throughout his impactful career, Humphrey has demonstrated exceptional project management capabilities, successfully implementing developmental initiatives with funding from prestigious international organizations such as the Ford Foundation, Disability Rights Fund, and MacArthur Foundation. His work experience spans critical roles in the third sector, including Programme Manager at the Foundation for Rural Proletariat and Community Advancement, Research Officer/Project Manager at the Development Research and Projects Centre (dRPC), and Research Officer at the Centre for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD). He has also contributed to academia as a Lecturer at Ave Maria University, Karu, and served as North Central Coordinator for Concern for Rape and Domestic Violence.
His practical engagement is further evidenced by a portfolio of impactful projects and consultancies, including the Better Assistance in Crisis Nigeria Project and the Citizens at the Centre Project. He currently monitors, exposes and counter the Food Industry Deceptive Marketing, unhealthy food consumption and activities undermining healthy food policy under CAPPA’s Food Justice Programme.
